Merging Visions is a research-driven artistic project that investigates the digital reconstruction of built and unbuilt environments,
examining how nature, terrain, and urban landscapes are represented and interpreted through emerging technologies. It asks how these visual regimes shape not only our understanding of space, but also our ethical and affective relationship with environments
and more-than-human agents. Through speculative design and animated essays, the project expands the vocabulary of
architectural visualizations by highlighting intangible ecological, cultural, and historical layers.
Set in Salzburg, the project focuses on the Salzburg Festival’s theater infrastructure and its longstanding entanglement with
the mountain into which it is embedded. Over more than a century, the theater has expanded through carving and extraction,
gradually growing like a living organism within the rock. This infrastructure became an inhabited interface between city and
mountain, staging architecture as a process rather than a fixed object. By tracing these transformations, Merging Visions frames
urban space as a temporal, material, and ecological continuum shaped by both human and non-human forces.Merging Visions constructs a fluid,
affective, and open-ended world that reveals ecological and cultural rhythms embedded within the urban landscape. It further redefines the digital twin as a situated and historically embedded practice. Through contextual animated
simulations, it shows temporal layers, artistic rituals, excavation processes and architectural growth. This reveals an evolving
entanglement between media, space, technology, and nature. 

Merging Visions


is also conceived as a large-scale projection that invites the audience to step into the dynamic urban data, offering embodied
encounters with otherwise inaccessible scales, such as the internal space of the excavated mountain.
&#38;nbsp;
Guided by Haraway’s call to “staying with the trouble,” the project resists simplification. It embraces complexity and
ambiguity, positioning built environments as an evolving medium shaped by ecological flows, cultural cycles, and material agency. By reclaiming the agency of digital production from regimes of optimization and standardization, the project establishes its own
media ecology. Thus, urban environments and architectural developments are understood not as static entities, but as living
interfaces in which human and more-than-human actors remain in a continuous process of becoming.
This work has been developed within the framework of ongoing S+T+Arts Ec(h)o residency and&#38;nbsp; won Content Vienna 2025 production grant by Vienna Business Agency.

	Heavy City


This investigation is set in Salzburg and examines the historical and ongoing transformation of the Salzburg
Festival, particularly its expansion into the adjacent mountain, Mönchsberg. Theaters in Salzburg have long been
constructed in direct contact with the mountain, incorporating rock into stage spaces, backstage areas, foyers, and offices. The terrain has been dissected, blasted, carved, excavated, displaced, and discarded. A new phase of
renovation now continues this trajectory: approximately 150,000 m³ of rock will be removed from the mountain’s
interior.

According to prevailing construction protocols, this extracted mass would be transported to peripheral processing
sites, crushed into standardized aggregate, and absorbed into global material supply chains. The volume would
never be perceived as a coherent entity. This research asks: Can this resource be retained locally and re-imagined as an urban actor?


Accelerated urbanization has intensified architecture’s geological footprint. Extraction, transportation, and
redistribution embed architecture into planetary material cycles. Construction becomes a geological layer, both
subtractive and accumulative. Yet these transformations remain largely invisible at the scale of everyday perception.
Due to strict heritage regulations prohibiting new visible structures, the theater’s expansion must occur entirely
within the mountain’s interior. What appears as preservation on the surface results in an invisible yet intrusive act of terraforming. Over 3–5 years, explosions and excavation will remove 150,000 m³ of material. This is equivalent to
thousands of years of geological accumulation, compressed into a few years of construction.


This research proposes design scenarios that render this displacement legible. Where such transformations are
inevitable, the project develops ecologically, historically, and culturally informed strategies to reuse the extracted volume locally through monumental and landscape interventions.

Clinic Terra operates as a speculative institution that reframes cities as post-operative landscapes, where ecology, culture, and infrastructure are irreversibly entangled through human intervention. Through architectural worldbuilding and investigative design, it examines questions of care, responsibility, and coexistence within contemporary urban environments.


Clinic Terra, adopts a clinical, analytical lens, examining nature through a distant, utilitarian perspective. 
Set in a future where natural systems have collapsed, the objects in the clinic are conceived as future fossils: a material archive that stores the imprints of human intervention. Excavation, extraction, building, unbuilding, and infrastructural expansion leave lasting marks on geological bodies, altering the conditions of life for human and non-human entities alike.
 

 In the clinic the nature is looked at through an utilitarian, distant and analytical lens.

Produced within Clinic Terra, the animated essay asks whether urban ecological systems can still be reconfigured as spaces of care and coexistence or whether they are already recording the material evidence of inevitable urban collapse.&#38;nbsp;

Clinic Acqua


I have been selected as part of the Digital Artist in Residence 
at the Digital Centre – ARCHiVe, Fondazione Giorgio Cini.

The research is still in progress. I am exploring the fluid boundries and the wet ontology of the Venetian Lagoon by transforming archival maps, photographs, and 3D digital records of the San Giorgio Maggiore Island into immersive digital landscapes.


&#38;nbsp;


During the first mobility period, the project established its research and conceptual foundation. Working with ARCHiVe's digital collections, point clouds, photographic archives, and documentation of San Giorgio Maggiore, I identified and selected archival materials relevant to the project's ecological and architectural focus. This research informed the development of the project's narrative structure, including a storyboard, chapter concepts, and initial visualizations for the digital film and exhibition installation.


The digital film explores boundaries and reconsiders the notion of borders. Within the 3D digital scans, the distinction between nature and architecture dissolves, forming a continuous landscape rather than separate entities. This offers a new perspective on the ecological entanglement of the built and natural environment. Venice provides a unique context for this investigation, where water, sediment, stone, wood, islands, and architecture continuously shape one another. The archival material at Fondazione Giorgio Cini documents these relationships through both two-dimensional and three-dimensional recording processes. The film is inspired by these materials and findings while reinterpreting the archive through speculative storytelling and immersive digital environments. By transforming archival documents into an explorable digital landscape, the project invites audiences to experience the archive as a dynamic ecological system rather than a static record of the past.

	Dirty Twin


Dirty Twin is a
research project that explores the entanglement of architecture with natural
systems. It reveals how architecture and cultural infrastructures become a
geological force through extraction and resource economies. Through speculative
design and worldbuilding, the exhibition unfolds as a spatial and visual essay
that reclaims architectural thinking as a tool for future imagination.

Urban representations should get the dirt back. Against dominant forms
of visualization that flatten environments into optimized systems, Dirty Twinproposes another approach. The video essay reframes urban digital twins as
contextually grounded artistic experiences that reveal ecological, cultural,
and historical dimensions of cities.


Set in Salzburg, the project examines theatre
infrastructures as an inhabited interface between city and mountain. The
installation, Garden of Entanglement, brings geological samples from the
site into space through 3D scanning and printing. Bearing marks of architectural
intervention—arches, gates, colonnades, and etched surfaces—these objects
appear as future fossils that connect digital representation with the material
reality of the mountain.


Together, the work proposes an alternative way of
sensing urban environments. It invites reflection on the city not as a fixed or
optimized system, but as a living interface shaped by cultural rituals and
ecological entanglements. The exhibition opens a space for debate on
architecture as part of broader geological, technological, social, and
planetary processes, and asks a further question: How dirty can architecture
get, and how can design be rethought through reciprocity and coexistence?

The space
we find ourselves in is in constant flux and expansion. Complementing the
dizzying pace of the AI media, the spaces overlap in surprising, illusory, and
deceptive juxtapositions. As you, the visitor, progress through the VR
experience, you will encounter surprising revelations that you must navigate to
find the new spatial media. Are you sure you have chosen the right path and are
you looking in the right direction? Scrolling through art is the journey.
Better be quick and explore.


These
artefacts are multiscale architectural totems of new technology, new modes of
visuality and art history. They encompass the past, present and future art of
societies with unparalleled speed and inclusivity. Through collective curation,
selection and exhibition; customs, rituals, traditions, stories, and unheard
histories find their audience. The totem collection grows as new stories are
created.The Flag of Transformation responds to the idea of objects as tools for spatial sensing. It lets the digital space to be touched and felt. It ruptures the two-dimensional representational surface. The intervention appears as
an object in flux; always becoming, much like the architectural space it is representing itself. This gesture reflects the dynamic nature of spaces, turning them into fleeting moments.&#38;nbsp; The visuals on the flags respond to the complexity and politics embedded in representation. As spatial signifiers, the flags evoke presence, resistance, and transition defending representation as a democratic tool that
expands architecture’s material and visual language.

The objective of this research is to adapt the theatre typology for the digital age, with the creation of interactive media spaces that serve to amplify the public voice. In light of the profound impact of digital transformation on our lives, there is a pressing need to rethink the very nature of architecture. 
In this project, I draw upon the traditions of theatres, forums, cinemas and panorama buildings to explore reinterpretations for the 21st century. My objective is to create liberated public spaces where communities can engage
in forums and virtual spectacles.
 The site selected for this project is the Burgtheater in Vienna. The location, in close proximity to both Parliament and the Rathaus, symbolises the evolving
concepts of democracy and participation. The three types of intervention are introduced at varying scales, with references drawn from both historic and contemporary precedents.

	Traces of MachlandOpen-air nature school
Group Project at Studio Kazuyo Sejima,IoA with Zishen Liu, Ying WangThe project’s aim is to design a nature school prioritizing children’s behavioral tendencies and freedom of choice on an educational landscape where the river, nature and local culture are connected. The site is Machland Floodplain,
where seasonal floods have become a challenge for settlements and river has been highly engineered as a result.

The strategy is to re-connect the students with nature and local people with the river in an educational landscape. The
architectural interventions are located at the old line of the river thus marking the memory of land and water. On the horizontal and vertical routes with the infrastructure, towers, landmarks and community centers students and local
people are navigated, invited to explore the nature and learn.The education program is designed for children between the ages 2-12. This is real life learning. Children are facing real
issues in real places. Activities are authentic and encouraging students to engage with their five senses. In this school, students are becoming the discoverers and creators of their own paths. In the end, our aim is to define an educational
program that is multi-dimensional and multi-generational that is bringing children, nature and society onto focus.The Lodges are spreaded along the territory of Machland. The pavillion like volumes have enclosed periphery for
compulsory needs, Apart from that the exterior environment defines the function of the lodge. There are functions such as garden, playground, market, sports center, observatory and animal shelters. These functions also let the public use the open-air facilities after school hours, thus enabling a multi-generational continous education.
The education model is hands-on and lets the younger generation connect to land through plantation and knowing
the local vegetation. Different smells, colors, and attracted fauna is observable through the seasons. Thus nomadic essence of the school is also refelcted here to observe these changes.The design is a balance between open-air and enclosed volumes. To let the children embrace the nomadic culture
and the survival skills, the spaces employ different agencies. The enclosed volumes offer refuge from harsh weather conditions of cold and flooding. Materiality is inviting, tactile and vibrant. It invites calmness. The special niches
accomodate the kids and the educational events during flooding.

Selected as Finalist in EU Mies Awards Young Talent 2023Exhibited at the 18th Architecture Biennale Venice 2023
The project explores how architecture can adapt to the digital age by integrating unsurveilled virtual media into a physical theatre typology. The structure, emerging from a decaying bunker, can serve as a visual and political emblem of transformation, symbolizing how architecture and technology can empower people to engage in new public ways.
All Watched Over is a camouflaged interior as an impulsing artifact of data and images cultivated by the political exiles. The interior readapts the theatre and parliament typology to exchange and circulate visual elements, while the exterior envelope employs material strategies to trick the surveillance gaze to grant digital anonymity.
The extension is designed to eliminate borders through fragmentation, continuity, and rotation of elements. The stepped levels of the interior maintain a visual connection to the central void in the form of a theatre, while the extension function as a light-filled translucent 3D field.
Through the stepped chambers for bodies to relax and debate, and theatre chambers to experience and share, the artifact serves for communal gatherings, living together, and cultivating a digital nature. To wander in this cloud is to encounter different narratives continuously as a shared experience. The field keeps unfolding with surprising moments created by layered transparencies, multiplied focuses, and softly expanded visual field.
